William Craig Lachowsky
William Craig Lachowsky is a former US Marine Sergeant living independently in Topeka, Kansas, where he was born and raised. He holds an associate’s degree in Liberal Studies from Washburn University, a program in which he wrote a number of essays that would help inspire some of what he would take up in this, his first book. He is a disabled veteran, and works part time as an overnight shelf-stocker for Walmart. He hopes this memoir will inspire others like him—working-class and disabled veterans who hope to improve their lot, against the odds stacked against them.
When not writing or going for walks, Lachowsky is an avid reader of history books. He is proud of his Russian name and heritage, and believes it is important for people to know how discrimination affects others and, ultimately, hurts society as a whole.
